Product Description

The Dan Wesson 715 is the penultimate revolver - it's a machine made for accuracy and reliability in the world dominated by S&W and Ruger. The ASG replica of the Dan Wesson 715 is no different. It's finished in an attractive steel reflective finish, with a removable orange tip. The rubber grips are a vast improvement on prior airsoft grips, with a comfortable ergonomic fit. A small unobtrusive safety allows one to make the gun safe, as well as giving one the option to ignore it for a more purist approach. Once unlatched, the cylinder spins smoothly, and is very easy to load. The barrel is weighted for balance, while the sights are adjustable to ensure precision meets accuracy.

Speaking of accuracy, the Dan Wesson 715 is built for it. The sights are ridged to reduce reflection, allowing for a distraction-free sight picture. Trigger pull is superb. Pulling the trigger in single-action is a dream - there's no creep as the trigger is right on the break, and once pulled there is little overtravel. A careful shooter will learn that the break point is clear and present, even in the double-action mode. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the Dan Wesson 715 is the first revolver with a hop-up that can be adjusted. You now have range, consistency, and accuracy, making this gun potent.

Wow. Just wow. Got this gun in the mail today and put about 150 shots through it, and in my experience, that alone is gratifying enough to know that your pistol didn’t break within your first shots with it. Pretty much all Airsoft pistols suck, and we all know it. Gas blowbacks break like clockwork, and this revolver is a breath of fresh air. I bought this as a replacement for my wingun 8 inch stainless revolver that I’ve had for five years, and the 715 is without a doubt a vast improvement over that old tired design. Every gripe I have with the old one is fixed with this gun; finish, grips, accuracy, build quality, sights, cylinder lockup, balance, looks, and fps. My old revolver shot at a ridiculous 595 fps, and this one shoots at a decent and consistent 400-410 average. No, it isn’t a cqb gun. The way I see it, this thing is more of a backup rifle than a pistol. Of course, there are low power shells that bring it down to a cqb safe velocity, so the versatility is there. Strangely, it feels a little heavier than my 8 inch revolver, which I predict is because of the underlug being a solid piece rather then a simple shell. The grips themselves are lined with some metal alloy, making them much more solid and comfortable than the thin plastic wafers on the win gun design. The trigger pull is heavy, but very smooth in comparison to the wingun. Single action, I put 6 bb’s on top of each other within a one inch group at about ten yards. Let me say that again, one inch group. At that same distance my stock 1911 GBB was all over the place. Double action was a bit wider, but only because I’m just learning the double action. Either way you pull the trigger, there should be no trouble reaching out and hitting a player at much further distances than a GBB.

I had a lot to say about this, and I could go on for pages about what’s right with this gun. I could’ve waited to game this gun before reviewing it, but I already know how it will do in the field based on my time with the old wingun. For $200, or any price really, your not going to find a more decent sidearm for outdoor Airsoft in my opinion. Thank you Mach1!
