Umarex H&K M27 IAR Black

Posted in on 5 Jul 2016 by

The USMC has always operated in the shadow of its older brother, the US Army. This meant that the USMC was always receiving the older kit and weaponry that the Army had used and discarded. Well, the tables have turned, and the USMC has received a support weapon that leaves the Army in awe and envy.

Enter the M27 IAR – a heavy barrelled version of the HK416, the rifle comes ready for the modern battlefield. In airsoft form, the M27 is manufactured by VFC using HK licensed components, such as the unique pistol grip, ergonomic stock, and accurate laser markings.

This gun comes rear-wired, and with a orange tip as per American airsoft regulations.

The HK417 is a battle rifle designed and manufactured by Heckler & Koch in German. Chambered for the 7.62 NATO round, this .308 battle rifle has the ability to reach out further than its sibling, the HK416 assault rifle. The HK417 takes the benefits of the 5.56 mm based HK416, but adds on power and modularity, with the ability to accept different magazines with a proven gas system.

As is the case with most HK products, the HK417 is only available to military, law enforcement, and private security organizations. However, the airsoft version has been licensed out to the airsoft experts at Umarex, and manufactured by the excellent Vega Force Company. The airsoft version faithfully replicates the markings, design, and material of the actual rifle – making it a must have for those who have everything from a G36 to an IAR.

The HK417 uses a VFC designed gearbox with AR-15 style controls, feeding to a standard AEG hopup. The barrel device is coloured orange, as these guns are sourced from Umarex. The stock and grip are HK’s latest design, and they’re exactly the same as the ones on the actual rifle. Some replicas come close, this one is on target.

HK417 rifles are extremely hard to find in Canada, and they tend to go off the shelves as soon as we get them. Make sure you act now!
